“ ‘Sleep Through the Static’, Jack’s fifth studio album, was recorded at L.A.’s Solar Powered Plastic Plant, and released on February 5 of this year. “If I Had Eyes”, the lead single was released via Johnson’s MySpace page in December 2007. What’s certain is that this album has made an impression on Jack’s fans. Only in the first week after having been released, it sold 375, 000 copies and hit number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. It had 139, 000 digital downloads as well. The album stayed at number one on the Billboard 200 in its second and third week.
