What should you check out for the last week of May 2012? How about some brand new music from Aerosmith? The band recently debuted their new single “Legendary Child” on the American Idol finale. Fans have been anticipating a new album since Honkin’ On Bobo back in 2004. The group is set to release their new record “Music From Another Dimension” on August 28th 2012. Despite rumors of the band having played their last show over a year ago the legends will be back on the road throughout the summer and will be making a stop in Laval, QC on July 10th.

“Legendary Child” is a single by American hard rock band Aerosmith that was released May 24, 2012.[1]

The song was originally written and recorded in 1991 during the initial sessions for the Get a Grip album, but was never released. The song has been re-worked and is now slated for inclusion on Aerosmith’s upcoming fifteenth studio album, Music from Another Dimension, which is slated for release August 28, 2012. It is set to appear in the upcoming film G.I. Joe: Retaliation.[2]

Aerosmith debuted “Legendary Child” with a performance of the song on the season finale of the television show American Idol on May 23, 2012.[3][4] After the performance, the song was made available for digital download[1] and premiered on radio stations.[5]

After the release of the single, Aerosmith will headline the Global Warming Tour with Cheap Trick, which will take the bands to two dozen North American locations from mid-June through mid-August 2012.[6][7] Aerosmith’s new album is then expected to be released on August 28, 2012.[8]“

Music from Another Dimension! is the upcoming 15th studio album by American rock band Aerosmith, to be released on August 28, 2012 by Columbia Records.[1] This will be their first studio album since 2004′s Honkin’ on Bobo, and their first to feature only original material since 2001′s Just Push Play, marking the longest gap, to date, between Aerosmith’s studio albums.
