News: Steven Tyler NOT Returning to American Idol

It looks like Steven Tyler’s time as a judge on American Idol has come to an end. The legendary rocker has admitted that the road is calling him once again.

“I strayed from my first love, AEROSMITH, and I’m back – but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I’ve got two fists in the air and I’m kicking the door open with my band. The next few years are going to be dedicated to kicking some serious ass – the ultimate in auditory takeover.” He said in a statement to Fox News earlier today.

The band is set to release their latest studio album this fall.

I know I’d choose seeing “Dude Looks Like a Lady” live any day over watching him judge a batch of up and coming contestants. Time for another panel change. Too bad X-Factor took Britney Spears….
