Song : “To Love And Back” – This Century

What should you check out this week?

How about “To Love And Back” by This Century? The band originally released this song in 2009 and it was featured on their EP of the same name. They recently reworked the song and a newer version can be found on their debut full-length “Sound of Fire” that came out in 2011. This was the song that really got me into the band back then, so I think it always has a special part in my heart, as cheesy as it sounds. The piano melody at the beginning and throughout the song really pulls me in and I also think Joel’s voice really fits with the mellow sound of the song. It’s one of the songs I can listen to over and over without getting tired of it.

If you like it and you’re free on the 23rd of August, you should definitely check out their show at Cabaret Underworld. The lineup is going to be great and this will be the first time the band will be in Montreal so let’s give them a warm welcome!
