After 6 years of “Party Rockin” together, the uncle and nephew duo, also known as LMFAO, have finally gone their separate ways. Yes, I said finally.
Since 2009, when their debut album “Party Rock” was released, Redfoo and SkyBlu have climbed every billboard and radio chart out there. Who would have known that influencing people through your music to drink some SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS, crashing house parties and shaking your junk, would get you so far?
In an interview with USA TODAY, Redfoo stated that they were both going in different directions and didn’t know when they were going to reunite again. However, he still plans to make music while working on different projects and the duo will still see each other, even if it’s only at family gatherings in the near future.
“I think that we naturally just started hanging with two different sets of people, two different crowds, but we’re always family. He’ll always be my nephew, I’ll always be his uncle.”
