Mumford & Sons Show Some Love for Blink-182

by

In a recent article on MTV Hive, Mumford and Sons’ lead vocalist Marcus Mumford showed some love to long-time Punk band Blink-182. In the interview on MTV, he said “Ben and I went to Blink 182 last weekend, and it was amaaaaaazing”.

Marcus grew up on Blink-182 so it’s no surprise that he’s a big fan, but nonetheless Mark Hoppus was quite happy with the shoutout when he posted a link to the article on his Facebook with the caption “humble brag. no, straight-up brag. thanks for the kind words”.

You can read the rest of the MTV Hive article here, where Marcus Mumford continues to talk about several of his other musical inspirations.

The band is set to release the follow-up to their debut album in late September. I don’t know about you, but I am EXTREMELY excited about it! Hoping it means another Montreal concert, those guys know how to put on an amazing show.

Are you a Mumford & Sons fan? Excited about the release of ‘Babel’ like we are here at CONFRONT?

  1. This is great, but Marcus didn’t say that – Winston did in the podcast. Though I think they’re all Blink fans since they played What’s My Name Again at a soundcheck before a show.

    • Ha, really?! That’s good to know! I didn’t listen to the podcast, just found that article through Mark Hoppus. I’m going to look into it now though, thanks for the info!

I imagine they must all be fans though, but it’s still so cool when they give shout outs to each other like that.
