CD Releases for the Week of October 23rd 2012

by

Bat For Lashes – The Haunted Man

3 years after Two Suns, Natasha Khan is back with her third album in her career. Even though she already had a lot of songs written back in 2010, she wanted to talk about something more than just being on tour. The single “All Your Gold” was released a couple of days ago, probably to make people even more excited for this new album.

Colbie Caillat – Christmas in the Sand

The Californian singer dedicated this Christmas album to those who don't live in cold and in the snow. This album contains 10 holiday classics and 5 original songs. We can also hear some duets with Brad Praisley for the song “Merry Christmas Baby” and Gavin Degraw in a funny version of “Baby, It's Cold Outside”

Diamond Rings – Free Dimensional

John O”Reagan, better known as Diamond Rings, is presenting us his second album this week. If you like electro pop music, you should definitely catch one of his Canadian tour dates in November and December.

Paul Banks – Banks

The lead singer of Interpol is at his second solo album. This time, he decided to take his real name and not the alter ego Julian Plenti that was used for the first album. The first single “the Base” is also the opening track of this album.

Shiny Toy Guns – III

With a lot of band member changes in the past years as well as during the recording process, we are curious to hear what this Californian band prepared us for this third album. The return of the original singer Carah Faye is certainly something to look forward to.

Taylor Swift – Red

The country princess is back with a fourth album already. Getting more and more pop rock than country, this new album contains music featuring with Ed Sheeran and Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol. The First single 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” is already a huge hit in the US.
