LISTEN: Kesha and Zedd Collaborate for “True Colors”

Kesha has returned. Listen to her collaboration with producer Zedd on her new track, “True Colors.” First performed at Coachella this year, this song marks Kesha’s first single since her lawsuit against her producer and alleged rapist, Dr. Luke. Listening to the lyrics of “True Colors,” which was first released on Zedd’s second album, the meaning becomes all the more painful and heartfelt. Zedd’s original production of the song was released last year, sans Kesha, but following Kesha’s struggles in getting released from her contract, Zedd reached out to Kesha via Twitter to help her release new music. Now, with Sony’s blessing, “True Colors” has been remastered to feature Kesha’s voice. You can tell how much this song means to her; in a way, Kesha can finally show her true colors.
