Sigur Rós are hitting the road — and they’re doing it all by themselves!
The Icelandic rock band just announced their upcoming North American tour planned for the fall. This will be the band’s first tour where they will not have an opening act, but instead, they will perform two sets with an intermission in between, more like a theatre production than a rock concert. It’s certainly a more unique take on a tour, at least for a rock band, but surely fans won’t be complaining! Appropriately, the shows are mostly in theatres and concert halls rather than stadiums, marking the group’s most intimate tour in years.
Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, April 8th at 9 am PST/12 pm EST (with the exception of their Hollywood Bowl show, which is on sale now for 5 or more tickets, single tickets on sale May 1). There will also be a limited number of exclusive packages available that include prime seats and autographed memorabilia.
