Bear’s Den, the amazing British trio known for releasing harmony-rich acoustic gems, such as “Agape” and “Above the Clouds of Pompeii” is back with a new album. Hitting shelves on July 22, the album is titled Red Earth and Pouring Rain and the band just released the music video for its first single, “Auld Wives”.
The song, in true Bear’s Den fashion, is a gorgeously melancholic tune, that tells a relatable tale of longing and loss. Unlike previous releases, however, the band has forgone the strictly acoustic sound, adding electronic hints, giving the track a slightly 80s feel, which we think works! As for the video, it is yet another incredibly evocative music video from the band, that follows a man and the ghosts of his past. The band itself only appears for a short cameo, but it’s still well worth the watch.
