WATCH: Tokyo Police Club Release “Not My Girl” Music Video

Indie rock band Tokyo Police Club have just released the new music video for the lead single off their upcoming EP Melon Collie and the Infinite Radness: Part 1.

The song, “Not My Girl” is the first single off the new EP, which dropped on April 8 via Dine Alone Records. The music video was produced by MuchFACT and directed by the band’s own Graham Wright. It explores the deteriorating relationship of two aliens.

“The original idea was basically, ‘What if two of the aliens from the Mos Eisley Cantina broke up and were sad about it?'” said Wright. “I had this vision in my head of a ’70s-style masked alien. I wanted to paint in broad emotional strokes that everyone would feel instinctively, rather than getting specific with facial expressions.”

Tokyo Police Club will be heading on tour in support of their latest EP this fall, and will be accompanied by Born Ruffians and the Elwins. You can buy tickets here and check for Canadian tour dates below.
