A late entrant to song of the summer just might be “See You Again” by New York City’s 8 Graves. The alt-soul brainchild of Brent Carpentier and Nick Goncalves, “See You Again” is the latest ear worm from the band. The track’s synth line sparkles over piano riffs, and the production can most reliably be described as shimmery and perfect for late summer nights. Lyrically and vocally, Carpentier delivers an emotive and immensely relatable performance, and it’s the kind of song that makes you hope for a happy ending.

This latest single comes on the heels of a very successful single with Modern Machines which saw the song pick up steam on SoundCloud, as well as prominent chart placement on Hype Machines’ Twitter and Main charts. You may also recall CONFRONT’s premiere of their track “I Won’t Get In” last Fall.

8 Graves has promised that there’s much more to come in 2016 – so keep your eyes peeled!
