I know this lady from the wonderful show Pushing Daisies, which gained her an Emmy award, but boy does Kristin Chenoweth have a resumé! Not only is she a great actress and played in, for example, Glee, The West Wing, and is she filming for American Gods, she also made her name on Broadway playing in, among others,Wicked and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Chenoweth received a Tony Award for the latter.
Kristin’s debut album coming Home, which features songs she enjoyed during her career and childhood, shows she has class and a beautiful voice with an impressive range.
Now, Kirstin takes it a step further with her collection of American songbook classics The Art Of Elegance, which will be released September 23rd. This album is about honouring artists who have sung these gems before as well as giving her own personal taste to it. Songs such as George Gershwin’s Someone to “Watch Over Me”, Harold Arlen’s “Let’s Fall in Love”, Rodgers and Hart’s “Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered”, Burt Bacharach and Hal David’s “A House Is Not a Home”, or Hoagy Carmichael’s “I Get Along Without You Very Well” are reinterpreted by this Oklahoma born stunner.
