NEWS: Bruno Mars to Open 2016 American Music Awards

Source: ABC

Bruno Mars will be opening up this year’s American Music Awards! The singer made his comeback last week with the single “24k Magic” and a performance on Saturday Night Live. He’s the first performer to be announced so far.

Looks like the night will belong to the men! The leader of the pack this year, Drake, landed a whopping 13 nominations, breaking a 32-year record for the most AMA nominations, beating Michael Jackson’s previous record of 11 from 1984. Other front-runners include Rihanna, Adele, and Justin Bieber. (Ironically, none of these artists are actually American.)

The 2016 American Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
