CORRESPONDENT (interviewer) – Montreal area residents only

As an On-Site, CONFRONT Magazine Correspondent, you will be:

  1. Attending concerts for review throughout the Montreal area
  2. Conducting interviews with international music acts on both indie and mainstream labels
  3. Writing articles, reviews and transcripts to be featured in the pages of CONFRONT Magazine

Skill requirements:

  • Ability to work with deadlines
  • Communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of music and pop culture an asset
  • Able to take instruction & criticism with ease; willing to learn
  • Organized, and process driven
  • Able to multi-task
  • Proven display of initiative
  • Represent CONFRONT Magazine with integrity, respect and mature judgment

Qualifications:

  • Good language skills both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word or equivalent

 

CORRESPONDENT Francophone – Montréal et Environs Seulement

En tant que correspondent pour CONFRONT Magazine vos tâches incluront:

  1. Assister à des concerts et en faire la critique
  2. Préparer et par la suite faire des entrevues avec des artistes  francophones locaux et internationaux
  3. Écrire des articles et critiques, ainsi que transcrire des entrevues qui apparaitrons sur nos pages

Compétences requises:

  • Travailler avec des délais précis et courts
  • Bonne communication
  • Connaissance de base du monde de la musique contemporaine un atout
  • Organisation et initiative
  • Représenter CONFRONT avec intégrité, respect et maturité

Qualifications:

  • Un français écrit et parlé impeccable
  • Connaissance de Microsoft Word ou équivalent

 

Graphic Design – can work remotely from anywhere

As a CONFRONT Magazine graphic designer, you will be:
Creating site artwork, including but not limited to, covers, article banners, contest banners, etc. as well as ad campaigns for our advertising clients.

Skill requirements:

  • Ability to work with deadlines
  • Communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of music and pop culture
  • Able to take instruction & criticism with ease; willing to learn
  • Organized, and process driven
  • Able to multi-task
  • Proven display of initiative
  • Represent CONFRONT Magazine with integrity, respect and mature judgment

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or other similar software
  • Understanding of media creation
