Bringing the world of music to light since its premiere issue released on August 31, 2006, this fully interactive platform features a wide variety of musical genres in an effort to promote diversity, redefine the mainstream and challenge readers to expand their horizons.

CONFRONT Magazine(tm) dares to redefine the limits of music and entertainment and break away from traditional entertainment publications by allowing readers to participate actively in all aspects of the magazine. Through the use of both article based and interactive sections, we aim to provide readers with the opportunity to provoke change in the music world today by challenging our visitors to defy the dictated norm. Helmed by our staff of dedicated music aficionados, each section offers an opportunity for readers to voice their opinions and exchange ideas and play a part in the evolution of music.
Angel Karmazenuk: Editor-in-chief / Senior Correspondent
At 29 years old, Angel Karmazenuk has been writing for more than 16 years. A recipient of countless literary awards while studying in the Arts and Languages program at Maisonneuve College, Angel’s articles and short stories have been published in both local and international publications. Her employment with Quebecor Inc., an international communications company that produces a variety of media such as newspapers, broadcasts and publications, has allowed Angel to further her skills in written media. She now combines her love of music and writing by heading the CONFRONT crew as Editor-in-Chief and Senior Correspondent.
Christine Jay: Arts and Visuals Director and Editor
Christine Jay is barely 25 years old and has already distinguished herself as a force to be reckoned with in Visual Design. A Creative Arts major at Champlain College, Christine has had the opportunity to work in a variety of media including Photography, Cinematography, Radio and Television Production. Active employment with numerous media based enterprises has helped her to fine tune her creative skills and talents. As head of the Arts and Visuals Department of CONFRONT Magazine, Christine combines her appreciation of music and artistic vision to develop the design and Photography aspects of COFRONT.
Judith Lalonde: Correspondent
Judith Lalonde, a 23 year old Arts and Communications student at Concordia University, is driven by her fascination with the entertainment industry. Her love of music and media has led her to explore a myriad of different fields, including Television and On-air radio anchoring, television and radio production and journalism. Currently in the process of completing an internship with 94.7 HITS FM for whom she has interviewed countless personalities, Judith has been a frequent contributor to a wide variety of publications. She currently dedicates her affinity for interaction with her love of music journalism to join the CONFRONT crew as a Correspondent.
Roxane Zielonka-Fournier: Photographer
23 year old Roxane Zielonka-Fournier, Communication Studies graduate of the UQAM majored in Photography and Television Production. She started her multimedia career as a PA for Canadian Idol and many of her photographic works have been published in a number of publications. She currently runs her own production company (Exit68A Productions) and is in the pre-production phase of works that were co-written with her partner. Her talent for “concert photography” and her love of music drew her to CONFRONT Magazine.
Stephanie Chicoine: Correspondent
While earning her bachelor of arts degree in Languages and Communications at the UQAM, 24 year old Stephanie Chicoine has gained invaluable experience in varied fields pertaining to the media industry. Stephanie has also had the opportunity to develop her communications skills by hosting a number of radio shows, appearing on Montreal’s French music television station Musique Plus as well as by working for different publications such as Voir newspaper. Her extensive musical knowledge has been a tremendous asset in her new position a CONFRONT Magazine Correspondent.
Steve K: Correspondent
After graduating from John Abbott College where he studied in the arts, 35 Year old Steve K went on to author a variety of projects including his most recent publication, a novel entitled “The Unearthing.” His works have been featured in an array of publications including The Jumpgate, Phyte Magazine and local newspapers. His unique and honest writing style makes him a perfect fit to the innovative and defiant aims of CONFRONT magazine.
Sophie Ferrandino: PR/Marketing Representative
It is her enthusiasm and her incredible desire to communicate that first attracted 24 year old Sophie to CONFRONT. Her studies at Bois-de-Boulogne College in the arts have provided Sophie with a better understanding of both the entertainment industry and the field of communications – invaluable assets that support her responsibilities as PR and Marketing Representative. Sophie’s thirst for knowledge and dedication to CONFRONT’s aims are a perfect addition to the crew.
