Robbie heads to Texas
June 25th, 2008 - Written by robbie
All my ex’s live in Texas. Well, not really, but…
On June 30th, myself, my publicist and the Hot Smoked Pictures documentary crew, who are following me all year for an upcoming documentary on MapMusic and Parkinson’s, will be flying off to Texas to be part of a Freddy Powers Parkinson’s event at Carl’s Corner in support of the Freddy Powers Parkinson Organization.
I was invited to this event based on my living with Parkinson’s & being a musician who fights back, melodically.
We will be in Texas for 4 days; and I’ll get to perform on the same stage as Freddy Powers, Willie Nelson & Merle Haggard. Also, I have written a new song, “The Segregated Tin Toy Soldier”, and will be presenting it to Freddy at some point during the event.
We will be taking with us the new ((( Musicians Against Parkinson’s ))) Awareness Concert #1 DVD, that so many wonderful people have been working there hearts out on, as well.
This is a great opportunity to help make MapMusic a success, so that we can really get into gear and start driving towards a cure.
That’s it for this entry. Next time around I’ll have some pics and maybe a video from our trip. Until then…
Robbie
