The 2008 Vans Warped Tour in review

July 30th, 2008 - Written by Angel

Alex Suarez of the NewYork band, Cobra Starship, later added: “Well one band which I almost toured with a long time ago I finally got to see for the first time ever was Say Anything. And they’re like one of my favorite bands now. (…) I love those guys! They’re awesome guys, I love all those dudes to death”

For Nate from Anberlin it’s the band Everytime I Die. “[They're] so good! I just watched them. I try to watch them like everyday. They’re just super heavy and put on a great show so yeah, I love that band!”

Although the sky was threatening to erupt for most of the day and we did get rained on a few times, we had a blast hanging out, interviewing all the bands, see some artists on stage. My only disappointment was that I wasn’t able to catch Katy Perry’s; something I had greatly been looking forward to. But as I was chatting with Dan about Madina Lake, I didn’t mind overly much. He was definitely one of my favorite interviews in while. Christine did get a chance to set Katy’s set and she said it was awesome; hopefully she’ll be back after Warped on a tour of her own.

This year’s tour is going on for another few weeks and if it’s making a stop in a city near you, you should really check it out. To see the dates and the vast array of artists playing on the many stages, visit www.warpedtour.com.

Also, make sure to check back with us over the next few months to read the full interviews of the artists quoted here as starting August 28th, every week’s Round Table interview will feature a new transcript.
