Social Networking. Connecting the del.icio.us dots!
September 4th, 2008 - Written by robbie
It’s amazing, isn’t it? Absolutely amazing! What is Robbie talking about? I’m talking about the rise of the social network. Looking back to 1997 when Myspace.com (the 7th most visited website according to the Alexa.com ranking tool) looked like this (give this a moment to load since it’s loading a page from 11 years ago) did any of us realize how connected the Internet would make us?
Recently, YouTube.com (3rd most visited website) began adding sharing options to it’s video pages allowing YouTube users to post their videos to sites like Facebook & Myspace.
As a musician all of these websites can be beneficial when used correctly and even more so when used in conjunction with each other. I recently created an artist page on Facebook (5th most visited website) which I would like to invite you all to visit and become a fan by clicking the following link:
With a little help from my social networking friends, hopefully I can make RobbieTucker.com, the 10,223,832 most visited website, a little more popular.
This week I’ll leave you all with a couple of branches from my Social Tree, ciao!
