The Latency

The band is The Latency from Maple Ridge, B.C. (close to Vancouver), I would categorize them as a pop punk type of band, with some edge at times, but they still have that quality that makes you want to sing along to their music. At the moment my favorite song of theirs is “All You Wanted” and “Away”.
All You Wanted, also suggested by Iris Ho, was just released as their newest radio single, here is the YouTube link to the song, unfortunately that is the best version you can find of it that is full length, but it really is worth listening to. I like All You Wanted because it is extremely catchy, and I find the lyrics are really well written. There are parts in it that I always find myself singing along with, and being their new single it’s always great to have the parts that everyone can sing along with.
Away still isn’t released because it will be coming off of their self-titled album that is going to be released on September 8th. But there are some videos floating around on YouTube of them performing it live. So far this is pretty much my favorite, I heard it the first time back in October of 08 when I saw them live and I fell in love with it right away, since then they have changed some lyrics around and added some different guitar riffs and melodies and I am proud to say that it has just been getting better and better, if I already like it just by hearing it live I can’t wait to hear what the studio version will sound like. It is also a very catchy song that you find singing along with and really has some good meaning and strength behind the lyrics.
