Phish – ‘Joy’

Phish collaborated with producer Steve Lillywhite on the album, having worked with Lillywhite previously on 1996’s Billy Breathes.  It was announced on 10 August 2009 that Joy will be available for pre-order in several different formats, including CD, vinyl and the “Joy Box,” which, in addition to the Joy CD, “will include ten individual Limited Edition posters designed for each of the album’s 10 songs, a complete second album entitled Party Time, and a DVD capturing live performances from the first half of Phish’s summer 2009 tour – including footage from the 2009 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and the tour’s opening date at Fenway Park in Boston.”

Boys Like Girls – ‘Love Drunk’

Love Drunk’ is the second studio album recorded by rock/pop band Boys Like Girls.  The album was recorded half in New York City and Vancouver because there are “two different producers/production teams, two different environments, and two different styles of inspiration”, stated by the band’s frontman, Martin Johnson.  The album will be available worldwide for download on iTunes, 8 September 2009. A deluxe edition of the Love Drunk studio album will be featured and released through iTunes exclusively only on 2nd, 3rd and 4th of October. On 25 June 2009 at around 10:15AM, the band posted free streaming of their first single “Love Drunk” on their MySpace site. Several leaks of the song were spread online then. On the radio show Kid Kraddick in the morning, they played an acoustic version of “Two is Better Than One”. “Heart Heart Heartbreak” was released from the band’s PureVolume on August 17, 2009 as a result of reaching 250,000 fans on their Facebook.
