30 Seconds To Mars – ‘This Is War’
‘This Is War’ is the upcoming third studio album by American rock band 30 Seconds to Mars. ‘This Is War’ is the first studio album by 30 Seconds to Mars in four years since A ‘Beautiful Lie’, released in 2005. When the band decided to leave their Virgin/EMI record for a new label, EMI sued them for $30 million on account of the fact that the band had not given them the promised three records. The band’s response was that no band had to be signed to a contract for more than 7 years, and they claimed they signed 10 years ago. Eventually, the band settled the matter and re-signed to EMI. During recording sessions, the band hosted a gathering in they called “The Summit” at the Avalon club in Los Angeles. The purpose of this was so that fans could see how far into recording the band was, and maybe even participate in the recording.

Timbaland – ‘Shock Value II’
Speaking on of the album in November 2009, head of its release Timbaland said: “I’m so fortunate and blessed to be able to create a Shock Value II, I’m really proud of the caliber of artists on this album and all the work they put into making it a success. I can promise that no one has ever heard Katy Perry, The Fray, or Brandy sound like this before. It’s exciting because not only am I giving fans the best of me on each track, I’m giving them a glimpse of their favorite artist in a completely different light. This is an album that can be listened to from start to finish every single time because each song is so unique and the range of artists so diverse. I can’t wait for my fans to hear the collaborations.”
